For the time being the Play Areas and Exercise Facilities will remain CLOSED.
Residents may have noticed that Lydiate Parish Council playgrounds (as opposed to the parks which have remained open) have not opened today (4th July). Councillors took the decision to delay the opening of the playgrounds until we had clearer guidance and H&S works were undertaken
Parish Councillors are meeting again on the 13th July to consider the latest advice and decide whether or not to open the playgrounds.
In the meantime;
-Works will begin on Monday to modify some of the equipment
-New signs have gone up letting people know the playground will remain closed
-Sanitation equipment and virucide has been ordered.
– Covid-19 signs will be designed for erection in the playgrounds.
-Washing of equipment will begin next week
Residents are asked in the meantime to be patient and to reinforce the message about non use of the equipment until it is safe (safer) to do so.
